Source & Preference Data

Your subscribed sources and reading preferences are stored on our servers to sync across your devices and to power personalized recommendations. This data is used solely to provide the service and is never sold, shared for advertising purposes, or used to build profiles for third parties.

Content Processed by AI

When you use AI-powered features (summaries and translation), the relevant article content is sent to our servers for processing. We do not store the processed content beyond what is necessary to deliver the result to you.

Device Information

We may collect basic device information such as device type and operating system version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the App.
  • To sync your sources and preferences across devices.
  • To personalize your “For You” feed recommendations.
  • To generate AI-powered summaries and translations.
  • To process your subscription and manage your account.
  • To communicate with you about service updates or support requests.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with:

  • Infrastructure providers who assist in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing via Apple).
  • AI processing providers for content summarization and translation. Only article content is shared with these providers — never your personal information, reading history, or source subscriptions.
  • Legal authorities if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. QR Code Sharing

When you share sources via QR code, the QR code contains your display name and the URLs of the sources you choose to share. This information is visible to anyone who scans the code. No other personal data is included. QR codes expire after 7 days.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement access controls, regular security audits, and monitoring to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated personal data — including sources, preferences, and account information — is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Export your sources via OPML export.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — for authentication.
  • RevenueCat — for subscription management.
  • AI service providers — for content summarization and translation.

We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
